Lakay Legal Service Inc. is a non-profit organization established to assist people living in low-income communities with legal, educational, social and cultural services to promote self-empowerment.
The concept of Lakay Legal Service Inc. started in 2005 with Haitian-Americans living in the Northeastern region of the United States. The goal was to provide needed services that promote self-empowerment.
Lakay's diverse programs strive to empower individuals, immigrants, youth and families.
Our services range from: legal counseling, immigration, education, interpreter; art/culture and referrals for employment.
We currently have 3 chapters in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York. Our New York office services over 100 clients and is growing.
